Eagles acquire two players in five-player deal with the Cowichan Valley Capitals

SURREY — The Surrey Eagles have traded forwards Gavin Rocha (’05) and Brendyn Van Oene (’07), as well as defenseman Hunter Heisten (’06), to the Cowichan Valley Capitals for forwards Kole Keen (’06) and Owen Fitzgerald (’07), and future considerations.

In their time with Surrey, Rocha put up 43 points (13 G, 30 A) in 40 games; Van Oene put up one point (0 G, 1 A) in 11 games, and Heisten put up eight points (0 G, 8 A) in 34 games.

This season, Keen had 11 points (7 G, 4 A) in 14 games for Cowichan and finished last season with 14 points ( 7 G, 7 A) in 33 games with the club. In his rookie year in the league, Fitzgerald had 11 points (5 G, 6 A) in 11 games with the Capitals.
